Ellen Walker
Ellen Walker was a loyal friend to the foundation. In the early days, Ellen helped us find our initial run venue, by talking with Jim Frederick at Clemson Extension and helping to secure Dargan’s Pond for our 1st Annual Run for Brighter Days. She and her husband, Wayne, always volunteered for our run event and provided support within the community. Ellen tirelessly served in our Adopt-a-Teen program for the kids in Palmetto Pee Dee Behavioral Health, caring for 8-10 teens in collaboration with her Mt. Pisgah women’s Sunday School class and Men’s Club. You could always count on Ellen to be there for holiday parties, to bring the kids to services on holidays and their special days. She was a featured presence in all foundation activities at Palmetto Pee Dee Behavioral Health. She will always be remembered as an Ambassador for The Jonathan Foundation for the difference she made in the lives of our teens. All that good that she did and all the love that she gave lives on and in that way, she is always with us.
